We love our boxers tail and it's part of their great personality. They need their tails to communicate and for balance while running/playing. I don't mind if people cut their own dogs tail and I don't go around telling them not to do it - it's their business! We live in Sweden and here it's forbidden to cut tails and crop ears and have been so since the 70's. Same thing all over most of Europe. In the beginning the boxers (and other breeds) where used for hunting bear and wolf. Then they cut the boxers tails so the bears and wolfs wouldn't get them. So today, it's all about tradition and visual apperance. In Sweden we only cut tails if it's necessary because it's damaged. And it's a myth that boxers hurt their tail all the time if it's not cut. I have seen MANY boxers in Sweden and zero boxers has a cut tail because of injury. We love all parts of our boxers and we love all boxers even if their tails are cut.
