Lop-earedness is more common in dogs (pug, labrador, collie, etc.). This feature has become commonplace. However, in representatives of the cat family, it is rare, which attracts pet lovers. A prime example is the Scottish Fold.
Unlike others, this breed was not bred artificially, but appeared on its own. A random mutation in one cat's ears led to a new species. This breed is also called the Scottish Fold.
Representatives of the breed have a well-fed body of medium size, a round head. The weight of a cat reaches 6 kg, in cats this figure is much less.
The main feature is curved ears, which give the skull even more roundness. The fur is short but thick. The color of the eyes is varied, depending on the shade of the coat:
Monochromatic (gray or black, cats with bright golden eyes are the most popular).
Striped or spotted (mackerel, tabi).
Chinchilla type - the pigment is noticeable only at the ends of the hair, the part of the coat located closer to the body has a different color.
The Scottish Fold has a calm and docile personality. She does not have the habit of running from room to room or meowing loudly for the whole house. Thanks to their peaceful temperament, cats easily bond with all family members and other pets. Conflicts between pets are rare. Other breeds may be an exception.
In other situations, the cat will rather go to another room than respond to aggression. This feature is clearly visible at cat shows, where the pet must show how well he obeys the owner.
