For many people, their pets become not only joyful animals but also full-fledged family members. To choose a suitable pet, first of all, you need to decide on the priority qualities and character traits, such as complaisance, obedience, love for children, devotion, or cleanliness. Hairless cat is a very unusual breed of cats because not everyone will like them.

6 Hairless Cat Breeds.

1. Sphynx cat.

One of the most popular hairless cat breeds, the Sphynx is bald due to a recessive genetic mutation. Fun fact: most Sphynx cats can be traced back to three hairless kittens from Toronto in 1978!

2. Bambino.

The Bambino is a relatively new hairless cat breed and only came about in 2005 as the result of crossing a Sphynx and a Munchkin.

3. Donskoy.

Also known as the Don Sphynx, the Donskoy is an adorable hairless cat breed with wrinkly skin, big ears, long webbed toes, and endearing almond-shaped eyes.

4. Peterbald.

The result of crossing a Donskoy and Oriental Shorthair, the Peterbald possesses charming characteristics from both breeds including large ears and big almond-shaped eyes.

5. Ukrainian Levkoy.

Originally bred in 2004 in Russia, the Ukrainian Levkoy is a bald cat breed that was created by crossing the Donskoy and Scottish Fold.

6. Elf.

The adorably named Elf is another new hairless cat breed that came about in 2004 by crossing a Sphynx and an American Curl.

What features are famous for the unusual breed of hairless cats? What are its positive and negative characteristics?
