Catventurous Crochet: Simple and fun crochet patterns for #fashionablycatventurous kitties. Supermeowdel catventurer: Melba @adventurepussmelba
Welcome to this video tutorial for our Shishi Button Up Cat Sweater. While this tutorial is beginner-friendly, some of the techniques and sizing requirements may require advanced beginner skills. This sweater has catventurers in mind and allows for a harness beneath and a leash to be passed through the back. Thanks so much for watching and happy crocheting!

The sizing for this sweater is customisable and there are instructions throughout this tutorial on how you can size it to fit your individual cat so it will not restrict movement. I recommend that you try your unfinished sweater on your cat at regular points as you make it. You can begin sizing using your cat's neck circumference but other measurements that are helpful are:
- Width across chest from leg to leg;
- Circumference around ribs, behind front legs;
- Length from neck to where you want the sweater to fall on the back;
- Length from behind front legs to where you want it to fall under the belly.
General guide to cat neck sizes:
• Small: 19-22cm – small, fine and hairless breeds e.g. Burmese, Siamese, Abyssinian, Balinese, Cornish and Devon Rex, Singapura etc.
• Medium: 23-28cm – for average-sized cats e.g. European, Domestic Shorthair, Tabbies, Scottish Fold, Persian, Manx, Bengal etc.
• Large: 29-33cm for bigger cats and larger or long-haired breeds e.g. Maine Coon, British Shorthair, Ragdoll, Savannah, Siberian, orange Tabbies etc.
**IMPORTANT: These sweaters are intended to be practical, stylish and fun for you and your cat. For their safety, please supervise your cat at all times while they are wearing this sweater.**
