Through this channel and media, we are working to create public awareness for the conservation of the rare Asiatic Lion, forest, flora n fauna, and biological diversity, making a modest effort to dispel widespread misconceptions about Asiatic Lions and provide correct information. As the population of lions is increasing and they are now spreading to new areas, we are making people aware by giving positive support to the government and the forest department for the conservation of lions.

Asiatic Lion
The Asiatic lion (Panthera Leo Leo) is found only at the Gir national park in the Gujarat state of India in the world, which is listed as Endangered on the IUCN Red List because of its small population. Asiatic lions were once found in the plains and forests of North to East and West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh. But currently, the only Gir forest and the surrounding countryside are the only habitats of lions. Since 2015, Gir Forest National Park has steadily increased. In June 2020, the 15th Asiatic Lion Census was conducted over 30,000 km (18641.136 sq mi), the lion population was estimated at 674 individuals, comprising 159 adult males, 262 adult females, 115 Subadult, And 138 cubs. The lion population in and around the Growth rate of 28.87 % (But now the lion estimated population is about 1000 above)

Conservation
In 1904, only 11 Asiatic lions remained. Then Nawab Mohabbat Khanji of Junagadh banned hunting and started conservation work. Since then the lion population has been steadily increasing. The lion conservation operation started by the forest department with the support of the local people is today considered to be the world's most successful story. Asiatic lion is a royal social animal, lion and man consider each other as friends, they never attack humans, lions mostly live around villages and farms so farmers benefit, and tourism industry is benefiting people economically.
