Loch Arkaig Osprey nest cam goes live and gets its first visitors 15 Mar 2021

The first visitors to the nest after livestreaming started today for the 2021 season. Two Great Tits (Parus major) are heard singing sweetly off camera before hopping up onto the nest for a good poke around for an insect breakfast. The resident Ospreys, Louis & Aila, are due back in a couple of weeks from their winter holiday in Africa. The Woodland Trust nest cam was installed by Wildlife Windows in Arkaig Community Forest, it's funded by The People's Postcode Lottery and operates on wifi provided by Locheilnet.
